Eye Pillows
Made eye pillows this week for my students to use in Savasana. Brought them to my interview and was told that they probably would not be able to be used. My interviewee stated "I will have to talk with 'corporate'...but probably not." To that I replied "Seriously???!" How lame. 20 eye pillows (stuffed with rice, fennel, and dried lavender) for the four of us here is a little much. I may have to start an eye pillow shop on Etsy!!

RYT for me
I finished the training that I started in October to become a 200hr RYT Yoga Instructor. It was challenging to balance everything these past few months. I was literally walking into my first day of training when I got a call form our real estate agent that we "got the house". I was in the middle of the street heading to the studio for training. Although it was such good news I had no one to share it with as I entered into the class with 20-some strangers who could care less. Also, the news was bittersweet. I applied and was accepted the past June when we anticipated the late fall to be "chill" since the many months before that were everything but. The inspection on the house went very well and off we went to move for the third time in about 15 months. Also, during this time I was picking up more call and coordinating to have a good friend watch the girls 1-2 times per week-a stressful situation-although had such ease with who was watching them. Needless to say, I am glad this chapter is done. My husband too. He watched the girls during all of weekend trainings with no help, aside from the football games they watched together :) I look forward to what opportunities I will come across in the near future and to continue to build the relationships that were created in the training with the other women. I am registered with Yoga Alliance and hope to teach at a local gym and incorporate my dance and nursing background in my classes.

A Midwestern Hello
We had a great time this past weekend with my mom and aunt, although all of the photos were taken with their cameras and I forgot to download them before the went back to the Midwest. We enjoyed dinner at the National Harbor, ran a 5K, yoga on the National Mall, toured the American History Museum, and of course went for walks and ate a lot!
