More on May
The weather has been beautiful these past couple of days. We have taken advantage of the National Botanical Gardens and the National Zoo with some friends and enjoyed a brunch in Crystal City for Mother's Day. We are continuing to prepare our home for the summer guests visiting starting this next weekend. Speaking of summer. I started counting calories this past week in order to improve my health because I have been eating poorly these past couple of months. I already feel healthier and much wiser on what is in the foods I eat. I appreciate no/low calorie foods all the more now. Tea is a lovely no calorie beverage. There will definitely be tea on the deck warming in the sun along side our container garden this summer. Sweetened not with sugar but honey of course.

Our Contatiner Garden
I have killed nearly every plant that I have owned. So who knows why a container garden seemed feasible. Her are the pics now because they are all still living. I have tried to incorporate a ritual of watering them. So far so good. We bought our flowers Easter weekend and I planted the veggies this past week. I am starting small this year in hopes that I will learn enough to go bigger next year. We have a pot or two of lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, peppers, hot peppers, broccoli and another vegetable I have already forgotten-see what I mean. I really hope the flowers make it. They are so beautiful right now!!
