"I can't want to mama"
M.'s new response when we ask her to do something is "I can't want to" with a sincere look on her face. I. is learning her please, thank you's and sorry's. She adores Foxy and chases her every night before bed and nearly strangles her by picking her up by the neck and smiles proudly saying "Foxy!! Foxy!!". We were able to attend N's basketball game last week since it was an early game. The girls both wanted to play with him so you can imagine the running I did to prevent them from being bulldozed by the other players on the court. They really enjoyed seeing daddy play and daddy played well!!

My Man Turns 30!!
Happy Birthday to the love of my life! He turns 30 today. We have an evening out with the little ones to celebrate at a great seafood restaurant in town. We had a movie/bookstore night last weekend in honor of him turning 30 and will have a dinner together in February as well with just the two of us. We have to spread it all out to coordinate with the babysitting team. In honor of turning 30 he scrolled through amazon.com and purchased many books for his Kindle. So far the celebrating has gone well. Looking forward to dinner tonight with all of us! Love you honey :)

New Words for the New Year
We have been trying to set some routines for the the new year. The year of peace. Last year was the year of chaos. We have been enjoying our new home and look forward to continue making it our own. So far we have removed all the crazy paint colors and dingy carpet. A few wall hangings to spruce up the rooms will help as well. Winter is just so un-motivating and cold. We have many ideas for the spring and summer for the small yard/deck/patio we have. Our next event is my Yoga 200hr RYT graduation February 6th and then to celebrate M.'s 3rd birthday on March 3rd! These two highlights will help to pass time until spring arrives. I wanted to share some of I.'s new words. She is pretty good at enunciation. She has repeated nearly every accented word we say. Here are some of the words that she recalls without prompting. Pasta, Fock-see (Foxy), Sock, Bed, More Milk, Mama, Daddy, Sissy, Car, Outside, Waffus (waffles), shoe, boot, coat, eggs, toast, blankie preferred to say but can say blanket, hat, sit, good girl, gapes (grapes), apple sauce, nogurt (yogurt), cereal, cheerios, eat, food, puppy, turtle, dogie, kitty cat, her name with a pause in the middle, her sister;s name shortened, bike. M. has helped a lot with teaching her. Now M. is asked to use the words in a full sentence. She sometimes tries to use one word sentences like "eat" since she hears her sister doing it, but then quickly fits the word in a sentence and then tries to get I. to say the same thing. They are very cute together. M. always looks out for her.

Christmas 2010
We celebrated this year on the East Coast again with our little girls. I picked up all call shifts for the weekend and was only called in once, on the lazy Sunday afternoon. The girls had such a great time playing and eating and running around with their strollers on the hardwood floors. M. got her first tool set, cowgirl dress up clothes and keyboard and I. got an electric piggy bank, her first babydoll and a tent. We made our first turkey, homemade cinnamon rolls, and the usual casseroles to celebrate. My husband kept busy with his new kindle and we had a family bowling tournament with our new Wii from my parents. We then made our way to the Midwest to ring in the New year with more Christmas celebrations. The girls loved hanging out with there and of course playing with Rex. The stay was fairly relaxed aside from the usual sleep deprivation, which I have finally concluded that after 2.5 years that we will never sleep more than 6 hours two nights in a row until the girls are 20+. This made the headache, etc. more manageable. Too make up for the lounging, no sleep weekend, fun with family weekend I. ended it with a 50+ minute screaming/wrangle fest on the plane trip home. N. and I divided the terror in two shifts. When she finally fell asleep in his arms, you could here true silence on the plane and then moments later a quiet rumble. As if the fellow guests could now converse and actually hear the person talking next to them. Have I ever said that we will never fly again with a 2 and 1 year old? Remind me later when another trip comes up. We are unpacked and settling into a routine back here. For this new year we vow not to move. Three moves in 15 months was enough for 2010. Happy New Year!!
