A Quick Run to the Grocery Store
I went out to the car this afternoon after meticulously planning the morning to have morning naps and lunch completed before my departure to get back in time for the afternoon nap. To my surprise I did not have the car keys. Nathan had accidentally taken them with him this morning when he left for a conference. On to plan B. I loaded up the girls in the jogger because all of the other strollers were in the trunk of the car which was locked with a key that I did not have access to. I figured that if I did all the work with getting the girls into the jogger that I should actually jog, and then felt bad for leaving the dog behind so hooked Foxy into the back of the jogger. My quick trip to the store has now become an extreme production. Although it is only 80 degrees and 68% humidity, the 1.5 mile run there pushing the girls and the dog just about made me hurl. The grocery store was sinfully cool and the balloons at the entrance of the store a nice greeting for the girls. We enjoyed ourselves there and took the leisurely route home. Why am I afraid of all "solo" walkers on the trail? Thanks mom for instilling this anxiety in me :) I spot a lone walker on the way home on my nice leisurely walk and begin to worry so this slow walk turned into speed walking which left Foxy nearly limping on her bum back leg. Needless to say I picked her up and continued pushing the stroller while singing to the girls to distract us all. Meanwhile, those darn balloons are whipping me in the face as I continue to speed walk. After returning home I am now enjoying the quiet of one napping and one playing. I am exhausted. All-in-all, a productive day. Laundry folded, run in, grocery shopping done, walked the dog, the girls got outside, and now catching up with friends! Looking forward to bringing lunch to our friends and there new baby tonight!!!

Good job though, you didn't let a slight deterent keep you from your appointed task. It reminded me of the year Susie lived in the Netherlands. Adam was 2 1/2 and Katelyn was 8 months and they only had one car. So she would load the 2 children on to her bike with a baby seat up front and a baby seat in back and 2 baskets on the rear fender for groceries. When that was loaded up and she had to come to a stop, sometimes it was all she could do to keep the whole thing from tipping over. Just remember , what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but I would've waited. I'm impressed by you young women. And I too, am somewhat nervous whenever I come upon a lone male walker. It might keep us safe, but I hate being afraid.
